Cake Cutting Songs!

Next week we meet with the DJ to go over the songs we want for the wedding. As you know, I have quite a few picked out already. But today, I am focusing on the cake cutting songs so that when the DJ asks us, we are not ill prepared.

A few of my favorites in no particular order:

1. The Beatles- When I'm 64

2. Adam Sandler- Grow old With You

3. Glee Mashup: Hit me with your best Shot/One way or another

They are all fun, right? We haven't talked about smashing cake. But if you actually know me, you know I am not scared of getting messy. And Courtney is SOOOO going to get it :P With that being said, you should be able to determine which is my favorite. But I know Courtney will not be a fan of it since it's not a legitimate musician/band. boo hoo

Ripped off on the Napkin Color that I ordered for the Wedding... Grrr...

I ordered the napkins for the place settings for the wedding last week from www.linentablecloth.com. I ordered a pretty blush-ish/light pink color and was super excited I got them because they had been SOLD OUT since I signed up for email notifications for them to come back in stock LAST SUMMER!

Anyhow, when the box arrived though, this is what I got:

Tell me they didn't totally rip me off on the color, eh? Dissappointed over here. But I am not motivated enough to re-package and ship these back. Looks like the tables will just have to have a pop of color at the place settings... *hmph!!*

Ebaying at it's Finest- Tips

Oh, the tips post is finally here! I've been super distracted the past two weeks and I apologize! But I am ready! Let's do this!

Ebaying tips:

1. Having the listing end on Sunday between 6-10 p.m. Most people are in getting ready for the week and settling down with a movie or the computer. Some people say Saturday night but in MHO I truly believe Sunday night is best.
2. Utilize the title field to say exactly what the product is.
3. Take clear, crisp photos of the product.
4. List the product starting at .99. Then it's FREE to list. Unless you add more than 1 photo. Typically, if a product is worth money the people bidding will bid it up to the appropriate price area.
5. MAKE SURE YOU charge enough for shipping. I can't tell you how many times I've been burned not charing enough for shipping and paying out of my pocket.

So, what are my totals so far against my iPad purchase? I've sold $250 worth of stuff so I am halfway there. I just spent some time listing some more items. Those items will end next Sunday so then I will have an updated amount by then! Good-luck on your 30 day challenge. Where are you at with it?

Best Alarm: If Britney Spears can get through 2007 I can get through today!

This is the best Alarm description ever!!
