DIY Heart Chalkboard Stickers

Our wedding is being done mostly by us if you haven't figured it out already. We didn't rent tons of glasses for people to drink out of, instead, we bought wine and water glasses at the same price of renting them. But we only bought enough for one of each per person. I am worried that people will have a glass of wine, walk over somewhere, put it down, get pulled onto the dance floor, come back to get their drink and won't recall which drink is theirs (we are doing a beer/wine/scotch + whiskey only wedding) So many of glasses may be red wine, white wine, etc. I saw a few sticker tags I could use, but I settled on heart chalkboard sticker tags. On each glass the chalkboard sticker will be and on each table a few sticks of chalk will be on there so everyone can write their initials on their glass. It goes along with the some other chalkboard items involved in the wedding which I haven't yet shown you all.

Here is my tutorial:

-white heart stickers (big enough to write on)
- a can of chalkboard spray paint ($4.98 per can at Home Depot)

in a well ventilated area, spray paint the stickers with the chalkboard paint. Allow time for them to dry and you're done. So easy it's ridiculous. I could do it in my sleep. And look how cute they turned out:

So now there are no excuses. Everyone gets one glass for wine and one for water. I'm sure it will work out!

DIY Lace Stencil

So this may not be totally legal- but search the internet and find a print you like. You can blow it up in paint or photoshop and then print it out. In my case, this stencil was printed out on 8 pages total. 4 pages for each section. I Then taped the print to a poster board and got started carving away. I believe this took me 5 or 6 hours to actually carve. And I've only completed one out of 2 so far. But with all the excitement of finishing it, I needed some motivation to complete the second one. So I tried out painting the stencil. I am super happy with the results and can't wait to get started on the second part of the stencil. So very pretty!

I need to decide what to do with this piece of furniture after the wedding. I really love this one and the vanity I painted. What if we have a baby girl one day- this furniture would be perfect for the room! Especially this piece could be used as a changing table. It has a great wide surface! Hmm, maybe if we can find storage I could hold onto it instead of selling it after the wedding. :)

SHOES, SHOES, SHOES!

I have never considered myself a shoe girl. However, with the upcoming parties and wedding, I had to start making some decisions on which shoes I will wear. Right now I have 5, yes 5, pairs of shoes for all the wedding related events. I bought two pairs last summer from Rue-La-La, I just purchased one more pair from Ideeli (not shown) and the other pair is from BEBE. I couldn't help myself. I am a bit ashamed for buying so many pairs- but be assured that I did not spend tons of money on these shoes and got them all at GREAT deals.

So here are my wedding related activities shoes. Can you figure out which pair I will be wearing the day of the wedding? Probably not that hard!

The Little White Dresses- Bridal Parties, Bachelorette Party, Reception Dress, etc

Besides wedding dress shopping, I have been a bit crazy about snagging some cute and cheap little white dresses for all the wedding related events.

Here is my current inventory:

Bridal Shower Dresses:

Stella Lace Dress from Banana Republic: $130.00 less a coupon (-$32.50) brings it in at $104.50 including shipping and taxes. A bit pricey and may be returned after I snagged the next dress...

H&M Lace Dress (a tad short though- definitely for showing off the legs and can wear with blush stockings): $29.99 (can't beat that!)

ASOS Lace Dress: $80.57 including shipping and taxes

Bachelorette Dress: Purchased on The Limited website at a final clearance price of $49.99 less a 20% off coupon bringing the total cost in at $46.94 including shipping and taxes! Originally priced at $228 which does not include tax and shipping. What a STEAL!

Rehearsal Party Dress: Purchased on Rue-La-La during a Sue Wong sale for $149.99

Now, to begin the shoe hunt for these dresses. I own one pair of white shoes and they aren't that cute. Oy Vey!

ParrotHead Weekend 2012 @ Sunday River- Pond Skimming Costume

I know that Parrothead weekend is 4 months away, and exactly 4 months away from one year of our engagement- but I am already planning my outfits for the pond skimming competition and super stoked for it!

I'll be going as Bachelorette Barbie. It only makes sense to follow in the Barbie footsteps and the themed outfit.

Let's recap:

2009: Malibu Barbie
2010: 80's Barbie
2011: Pool Time Barbie
2012: Bachelorette Barbie

And here is my veil and sash (don't worry kids, I'll be covering up the word "sexy".)

I also ordered a white ruffle bathing suit from Victoria's Secret.

And lastly I'll need to get white leg warmers. Thoughts on getting a white tutu? Kinda lame, but eh! Why not just cornify it all out?

But almost there and super excited for my favorite spring skiing weekend! Who else will be at Sunday River for ParrotHead this year?
